Where we work

Most of our work has been in esplanade reserves in the south of Pakuranga on the Tamaki River and Pakuranga Creek / Elm Park tributary.

We are lucky to have many reserve areas – this map shows some of those south of Pakuranga Road which are either beside waterways or have multiple tall trees. Please let us know If there are other areas that you think we should be working in.

The reserves in which we work or know others are working are tagged green. The red tags signify an area that we would like to work but need more volunteers. Please contact us if you can help, or if we are not aware that you are already working in one of these areas.

Our catches are recorded in CatchIT, a University of Auckland project for data management and analysis for community pest control projects, conservation management, and scientific research. It is coordinated by Rachel Fewster of the University of Auckland. Use the controls on the map to select the data and time period that you wish to see.

You may see catches in areas that we have red-tagged in our map. Volunteers come and go and these areas are no longer being worked. If you can take over one of these areas then let us know.
